Caitlin Donald, MSW
Osage/Ponca
Associate Director, NNACoE
Caitlin was born and raised in SE Portland, and – aside from living outside of Oregon for five years – she has always oriented herself within 2 miles of Mt. Tabor Park. She came to NNACoE in 2019 to change the face of the U.S. health workforce by creating more space and opportunity for Native healers. Caitlin received her Bachelor’s in Social Work from Portland State University and her Master’s in Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis. She has worked in partnership with AI/AN communities since 2010, mostly in Indigenous health research. Caitlin leads NNACoE with Dr. Brodt through a model that is deeply Indigenous at its core: one built on collaboration, kinship, and healing. She is proud to be immersed in Native excellence at OHSU. True to her Portland roots, Caitlin loves trying new restaurants, coffee shops, and seeing live music. She spends most of her time outside of work with her spouse, Brian, renovating their home and garden, and taking their dogs on adventures.
