AI/AN Medical Students at OHSU
Native medical student enrollment at OHSU has increased by 775% since NNACoE was founded in 2017. As of 2023, OHSU has the 4th highest concentration of Native medical students in the country.
Tribal Health Scholars
The first Tribal Health Scholars cohort began in 2018 and, thus far, 132 scholars have completed the program across 7 cohorts. THS now operates in 9 Tribal communities across Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Alaska.
Wy’east Medicine Pathway
73 scholars, representing 51 tribes, have completed the Wy’east Medicine Pathway since 2017. The 2019-20 cohort of Wy’east scholars accounted for 7.9% of all AI/AN matriculants to US medical schools in 2020.
Health Pathway Coaching
NNACoE has mentored over 170 individuals since 2017, and currently has more than 600 subscribers to our HEALERS Text Mentoring campaign.
Indigenous Faculty Forum
Over 40 Indigenous faculty from US medical schools participated in the 2024 IFF hosted in Oahu, HI.
